The Gospel through text message

Digital responders encourage faith at FTS-OU

When you give, you’re offering the hope of the Gospel to individual people with real needs through our digital response system.

During stadium events, an army of volunteer responders across the country rally into action to engage with people who text in with a response during events.

Following FTS-OU, people engaged with digital responders with everything from prayer requests, questions about God, recommitments to the faith, and first-time decisions to follow Jesus. Between our text-in program and response cards, over 2,000 responded to the Gospel. Praise God!

One response came from Kierra, saying she wanted to follow Jesus. She said, “I honestly need Jesus to heal me from my mental health and to keep me in faith so I can beat my battle…the fight is not my fight!” Kierra reported that she started on her faith journey by attending church the morning after FTS-OU. We’re praising God!

An anonymous responder who viewed the program from San Antonio recommitted to Jesus. The person said, “I know I need Jesus in my life again! Just had to send the text to declare it!”

Another responder indicated that he and his son accepted Jesus at FTS-OU and were planning to be baptized the following day. Praise God for this family’s decision to publicly declare their faith!

Our National Follow-Up Coordinator, Greg Nightingale, leads the Pulse digital response teams. These volunteers sometimes engage with people’s deepest heartaches as the attendees openly share the pain in their lives. We’re so thankful for Greg’s leadership during digital follow-up and the faithful volunteers across the nation who provide a personal touch to the people who respond to the Gospel during an event.
