Nick Hall is the visionary of Together, author of the book Reset, and the Founder and President of Pulse. As an evangelistic voice to this generation, Nick Hall has shared the Gospel at hundreds of events to more than five million people and is regularly featured as a speaker for pastors gatherings, student conferences, training events, and festivals around the world.
Ebony Small serves as the Vice President of Global Ministries at Pulse. Impassioned by her strong conviction in Jesus alone, Ebony answered the call of full-time ministry in 2007, six years later she was ordained as an elder, and then went on to be installed as an Associate Pastor at Bethel Gospel Assembly, Inc. in New York, NY. Ebony shares the Gospel message of salvation, healing, and deliverance as she ministers to those who God has divinely called her to serve and has recently released her book, “The Leader in You: Discovering Your Unexpected Path to Influence.”
Karen started her career holding numerous leadership roles within the higher education and art communities and in 2012 she came on the Pulse team serving as the Director of Leadership Giving. Karen has a passion for sharing the Gospel and introducing others to where God is moving, especially in the next generations. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Jay Johnson, and they have two young adult daughters, and a son-in-law.
Wes Oren serves as Vice President of Finance & Operations at Pulse. After 30 years in the chemical industry with global responsibilities and serving Jesus as a lay leader at a variety of churches around the U.S., Wes decided to go into full-time ministry as Executive Pastor at Rockpoint Church in Lake Elmo, MN in 2016. Wes is licensed through the Evangelical Church of America (EFCA) and his spiritual gifts include teaching, leadership, and administration. Wes uses skill and experience from both non-profit operations and commercial for-profit enterprises to help make Jesus known.
Cheryl Brunkow joined Pulse as Communications Director in November of 2021, after gaining valuable experience in a similar role at Calvary Church. A Bethel University alum, she also worked at the college for a dozen years as a Senior Graphic Designer. Prior to that, she enjoyed a stint as a Food Writer for the EAT! section of the St. Paul Pioneer Press. She’s personally passionate about reaching young people for Christ, and is thrilled to be able to use her gifts and talents for God’s glory at Pulse.
Olivia serves as Pulse’s Donor Relations Director and has been on staff at Pulse since 2019 when she started as an intern. Originally from Fargo, ND, she remembers first hearing about Pulse as a young girl when it started on NDSU’s campus. After graduating from Concordia College with degrees in Communication and Theatre she moved to New York City where she was involved with Trinity Harlem Church.
Joe began his Marketing career working for a couple of small Advertising Agencies, as well as corporate retail, then made the transition to the nonprofit world with a move to Colorado and Focus on the Family. Upon moving to Minnesota, Joe worked at General Mills for nearly 20 years in various B2C marketing and marketing communication roles, and most recently at 3M in B2B marketing. In 2021, he started as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Northwestern – St. Paul, teaching Marketing and Marketing Communications. He holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Joe is married with six children and eight grandchildren and lives in St. Paul, MN.
Deena serves as the Donor Relations Director/Special Projects & Employee Engagement Director at Pulse by overseeing a wide variety of events and building relationships with Pulse partners. Before feeling a call to go into ministry, Deena started her career as a buyer for Macy’s, overseeing 52 stores in the Midwest region, and then shifted to small business ownership growing her own business, Deena’s Gourmet—a local MN hummus company. Deena and her husband David have two children, Davin and Jacob, and enjoy nights out anywhere there is good food and live family music entertainment.
Amber started at Pulse as a part-time bookkeeper in 2013 and, throughout the years, has shifted into managing the human resource needs at Pulse by overseeing the finances and leading the administration department. Amber graduated from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul with an accounting degree and has spent most of her career in the ministry/nonprofit world, from doing
missions work in Uganda (East Africa) to working with various nonprofit organizations around the Twin Cities. Amber and her husband Matthew live in South Minneapolis where they are raising their three children Sierra, Jazmine, and Asante.
Jay Anderson serves as the Director of Ministry Expansion for Pulse using his God-
given talents to network across the country with ministries, events, bands, and speakers. He grew up traveling with his family for his father’s work and later “inherited” the family business traveling with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association setting up festivals. Jay lives in Minneapolis, MN with his wife Steph and their three children.
Luis brings over thirty years of corporate experience to his role as Together Community Relations Director.
He’s been helping Fortune 500 companies and international non-profits build strategic relationships, develop and consolidate procurement systems, and track sustainable growth.
Luis’ professional philosophy teaches corporate awareness and stewardship, facilitating maximum efficiency, high morale, and top performance. We are blessed to have him on board to increase Latino community awareness for TOGETHER ’22. Since surrendering to Christ at the age of 7 he’s always prayed to be used by Him and is passionate to help people experience God through this event.
Family is also a priority for him and his wife Lorena, and their son Christopher is a source of great joy.
Mark Warder is the Training Director at Pulse where he oversees the internship program and is the Director of Revival Nights, Pulse’s monthly prayer and worship gathering in Minneapolis. He has a passion to see young people grow in their faith and follow Jesus and has been a pastor for over 15 years in Bolivia, Panama, and here in the Twin Cities. Mark has been married to his wife Kelli for 18 years and lives in Burnsville, MN with their three kids and golden doodle.
